Entrepreneurship, real life lessons on how to start, grow and exit

This fast moving session is packed full of tips on how to start, grow and exit an entrepreneurial venture.

The three speakers will be:

  • Rowena Johnson. Founder of BugBrush and short listed as one of BQ National Emerging Entrepreneur finalists. Rowena has a fascinating story to tell, full of highs and lows, she is sure to inspire anyone about to start out on a new venture.
  • Lewis Bowen, MD, Geco Industries. Geco Industries’ flagship product, which is manufactured in Sheffield, is a safe and environmentally friendly gel fuel used for cooking and heating in camping. Within two years of launching founder Lewis Bowen has secured orders from major UK retailers, including Blacks, Millets and Go Outdoors, and recently won a £250,000-a-year, six-year deal with a European retailer, with more export markets expected to open up this year.
  • Russell Dalgleish, Chairman, WeAreTheFuture. “From Entrepreneur to Investor”. How to get it right, and what you can be doing now in your business to plan it right. Russell Dalgleish operates across a range of sectors, taking the role of Investor, Advisor, and Entrepreneur to a portfolio of SME and Start-Up businesses. Russell is a strong advocate and example of the Portfolio career and believes that the Start-Up culture will not be fired by enthusiasm alone but requires the support of those who have “been there and done that” - experience & expertise can be more valuable than seed capital!
